A band of delicately painted blue scrollwork encircles both the shoulder and base, framing a continuous series of floral panels that flow gracefully around the pot. Rather than presenting just a single front, the decoration wraps around the entire body, revealing beautifully painted blossoms and foliage from every angle. As the pot is turned, new combinations of colours and floral details gradually come into view, making it just as beautiful from the side as it is from the front.

Look a little closer and you'll notice the delicate concentric turning marks that remain visible beneath the paint. The decoration gently follows every curve of the rounded body, while a naturally developed crackled finish adds depth, texture and a beautifully timeworn appearance.
