There is something rather beautiful about poppies after the flowers have disappeared. The petals may be gone, but the seed heads have their own quiet character — simple, sculptural and wonderfully imperfect.
This unusual faux poppy seed bundle captures that look beautifully. Seven softly flocked seed heads sit on slender, natural-toned stems, finished in muted dusty blush, faded brown and soft earthy tones. The velvety surface gives them an almost dried, weathered appearance rather than the usual smooth artificial finish.
At 36 cm, they are particularly lovely for smaller vintage pots, old bottles, stoneware and rustic vessels. Use the bundle on its own for a very simple arrangement, or mix it amongst dried and faux flowers where the rounded seed heads add texture without making the arrangement feel too full.
Perfect for autumn styling, but neutral enough to be left out throughout the year.
